Gun Safety
Research shows nearly all unintentional shootings deaths involving children occur in or near the home. Our goal is to encourage safe storage of guns and reduce the number of unintentional shootings by distributing free gun locks to the community.

The “Lock Up Your Gun Campaign” was established by the Pima County Attorney’s Office in 2005 and has distributed over 90,000 gunlocks since the program began. We have over 200 community partners that help to distribute the gunlocks and educate the community about safe storage. We partner with pediatricians, health and family clinics, mental health providers and organizations that serve families and children.
