PCAO Art Competition
On behalf of Pima County Attorney Barbara LaWall and School Superintendent Dustin Williams, we would like to invite high school students to participate in an art competition focused on keeping guns locked up and our schools and community safe.

The art competition is an excellent opportunity to encourage and showcase the creative abilities of high school students who live in Pima County while promoting the safe storage of guns.

We will be posting the art competition finalists on our Facebook page for the community to “like” their favorite from October 29-November 5, 2018. We will also co-host an art show with food and fun at the Pima County School Superintendent’s Office on November 15th from 5-7 PM.

For more information and competition guidelines, please click the printable flyer link below.

Gun Safety
Research shows nearly all unintentional shootings deaths involving children occur in or near the home. Our goal is to encourage safe storage of guns and reduce the number of unintentional shootings by distributing free gun locks to the community.

The “Lock Up Your Gun Campaign” was established by the Pima County Attorney’s Office in 2005 and has distributed over 90,000 gunlocks since the program began. We have over 200 community partners that help to distribute the gunlocks and educate the community about safe storage. We partner with pediatricians, health and family clinics, mental health providers and organizations that serve families and children.
